This story is about a boy from the coast of Maine who started out hunting, fishing, playing sports, and wanting to be liked by everyone. At an early age, family dysfunction turned his world upside down. To be accepted and to block out the pain of home life, drugs became his solution. The one thing that kept him going was his incredibly strong work ethic in the commercial fishing industry.

ABOUT THE AUTHOR
Captain Michael Ball has been making a living on the water since his teens. Before his retirement in 2023, he traveled up and down the East Coast working as a merchant mariner. Wherever he is, he lives for Christ. He resides in Florida with his wife, Lori, and his Vizsla, Leah.
